It is a great honor to announce that "Submit" from the album "Milieu Control" will be included on Dark Horizons Radio upcoming Compliation CD "Drowned Visions"
This double CD is limited to 100 copies featuring some great artist as well as some tracks from my buddies Cellmod and You Shriek.
All proceeds will go to funding the running of Dark Horizons weekly show which broadcasts each Thursday night from 8-11PM EST (US).

Here in the state of Queensland in Australia we have been hit by the worst disaster in our state's history. To give you an idea of the magnitude of this disaster, three-quarters of the state of Queensland has been declared a disaster zone. Queensland is roughly two and a half times the size of the state of Texas.
The floods have forced the evacuation of thousands of people from towns and cities. At least 31 towns and over 200,000 people have been affected. Damage initially was estimated at around 1 billion dollars; the most recent estimate of damage and lost revenue is now about 10 billion dollars. Over 143,000 homes and businesses are without power. At present, 12 people have been confirmed dead and 43 persons missing.
So for the rest of the month of January all proceeds from the download of Milieu Control will be donated to the Queensland State Premier's Flood Relief Appeal.

Available for a little extra, you can pre-order the physical release of Milieu Control with stickers, and there are also options for t-shirts. All of these will be available for shipping mid December.
You can also purchase one of the Milieu Control Ultimate Packages which include signed instruments used in the recording of Milieu Control. More information is available here.

The intent and effect of such abuse is that it renders those guaranteed freedoms meaningless. If a population becomes bullied or intimidated out of exercising rights offered on paper, those rights effectively cease to exist. Every time the citizenry watches peaceful protesters getting pepper-sprayed — or hears that an Occupy protester suffered brain damage and almost died after being shot in the skull with a rubber bullet — many become increasingly fearful of participating in this citizen movement, and also become fearful in general of exercising their rights in a way that is bothersome or threatening to those in power. That’s a natural response, and it’s exactly what the climate of fear imposed by all abusive police state actions is intended to achieve: to coerce citizens to “decide” on their own to be passive and compliant — to refrain from exercising their rights — out of fear of what will happen if they don’t.
The genius of this approach is how insidious its effects are: because the rights continue to be offered on paper, the citizenry continues to believe it is free. They believe that they are free to do everything they choose to do, because they have been “persuaded” — through fear and intimidation — to passively accept the status quo. As Rosa Luxemburg so perfectly put it: “Those who do not move, do not notice their chains.” Someone who sits at home and never protests or effectively challenges power factions will not realize that their rights of speech and assembly have been effectively eroded because they never seek to exercise those rights; it’s only when we see steadfast, courageous resistance from the likes of these UC-Davis students is this erosion of rights manifest.

The red neck, chest beating, mouth breathing patriots spit rhetoric about immigrants integrating into Australian society and “living by Aussie culture”. But out of all this, I have never seen any of these righteous douche bags define what Australian culture really is.We are a nation of immigrants, if we were a dog we would be the mongrel dog made up for 5 breeds that no body wants to take home because they dont know whether it will chew their slippers or chew their 5 year old.Our culture is defined in a serious of sound bites. “Battler”, “Digger”, “Fair good”, “Working Families”.The only culture that seems to be a running theme with these Southern Cross branded clan folk is drinking. I am Australian born and bred as were my parents and grandparents; I’m not sure previous to that. However, I have trouble defining exactly what ‘Australian Culture’ is ?. As far as I can tell, Australian culture is that of sending ‘shazza down to the local bottle shop in a commodore Ute, for a pack of ciggies and a carton of VB; when the next dole payment comes in’. Apparently we should be proud of our history as a dumping ground for convicts, criminals and ill treatment of the local indigenous population at the time. We idolise Bush Rangers such as Ned Kelly, who murdered, stole and flouted the law ?. We tout ourselves as an ‘egalitarian society’, which basically means those who have sought to better themselves and could hardly be defined as little more than middle class, are forced to financially compensate those who couldn’t be bothered. I am Australian through and through and yet, I still have trouble identifying what it really means to be Australian ?.
